[Galaxy S10] Notifications don't wake up lock screen

I just got my S10 and I'm having an issue where notifications only play sound/vibration on lock screen and don't actually wake the lock screen up to show me that a notification arrived. I'm new to android and have looked it up but can't really find how to make it so that the phone lights up with the notification banner when I receive a notification (e.g. a WhatsApp text)

Do you have these settings enabled in settings then lock screen
