Galaxy S20 upgrade in light of the Sprint/T-Mobile merger

So, now that the Sprint/T-Mobile merger is green-lighted (barring some unexpected hurdle), and is anticipated to close sometime in April, that's just in time for we Sprint subscribers with S10's to anticipate our annual upgrade.

If we are in that category which would ordinarily upgrade annually, and all other things being equal, now that we're going to be T-Mobile customers (at some point), what considerations should we Sprint subscribers consider?

Are there any additional considerations for those folks? Do we care about mmWave 5G? Should we just drop our Sprint service and proactively move over to T-Mobile? Should we keep our S10 for a bit longer than normal and let the merger dust (start to) settle?

Thoughts?

They'll probably run as separate networks for at least another year or so. I'm getting a Sprint S20 in March & will make a decision next year about staying or leaving, depending on what the merged company's plans are.

The hurdle is right in front of our eyes though. There's a California regulatory committee that still needs to approve, and CA is one of the states spearheading the lawsuit. Also, I believe the states are gonna appeal at least once. I think you're fine especially if you say you upgrade yearly. It'll be a while before they start merging the actual networks. Sprint uses mid-band for 5G, and TMo is focused on sub-6. I think it'll be a while before mmWave comes out of testing.
