Galaxy S2X: Device not responding

Hi there,

Whenever I go to plug my phone into my computer to connect to Kies, a message comes up saying: "Notification: Device not responding". I have a Samsung Galaxy S2X and am connecting to a Macbook. Does anyone know of any solutions to this problem?

Unfortunately that didn't help. I'm not running Mountain Lion, I'm still using Snow Leopard.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
