Galaxy S3 mini - Green Screen Recovery Problem

i just finished rooting my new galaxy s3 mini just for fun. The root turned out well and successful until I tried to flash TWRP 2.4.1.1 through TWRP Manager from Google Play. When the app finished and confirmed success, i powered off and booted into recovery mode (vol + , home , pwr) and the screen gradually turned green with the screen saying the device's name and in the far left corner it says "RECOVERY" or something similar. I managed to get out of the state and reboot into normal mode. In disappointment with TWRP, I then flashed CWM with Odin 3.0.7. To my surprise, the same problem occured. The device works fine but I really want to get Cyanogen on it. Help?
