Galaxy S3 now a paper weight!

[AC Question]

After upgrading to KitKat, my S3 is now nothing more than a paper weight!.
The home, power and volume buttons work, It appear that bothe pressure sensitive controls on either side of home work, bot screen will not accept any touch action. (Is this the fault of TouchWiz??).
What and how can this condition be reversed.

A factory reset may be the only way to get it back.
