Galaxy S3 Ram Usage ?

My Galaxy S3 Uses a crazy amount of ram in idle mode !
It uses 813 mb ram in idle
And when gaming or using apps it goes to 1.2-3 gb out of 1.56gb
I think its the reason my fone lags
I did a factory reset and installed back basic apps such as : facebook, instagram, twitter & google chrome
And three games that i transfered to my sd : modern combat 4 & 5 And Asphalt 8!
I upgraded to jellybean 4.3 by the way..

Plz help ive watch videos of gs3's only using 300 up ram in idle ...

Welcome to Android Central! 300 MB of RAM usage would be unusual, and those videos you saw were probably of devices that had apps installed that try to limit RAM usage. That can be counterproductive, since the Android system manages RAM on its own. If your device is using 800 MB out of 1.5 GB of RAM, that's pretty normal. See these articles for more info:

Thank you for the reply man . I can put the link to the video if you wanna check it out i dont think they were using task killers . The article clarified alot for me and ram man thanks for sharing ! But i still cant understand why my phone is lagging . I did a factory reset & wipe cache and it didnt change the lagg issue!

The lag could be due to specific apps that you installed, especially if they spend a lot of time syncing in the background.

Can you give more details on the lag? Where do you notice the lag? Is it with homescreen transitions? App opening? Syncing?

Do you have an SD card inserted? If it's corrupt, it could be causing a problem like this. Try unmounting it (in Settings>Storage), removing it, and rebooting.

If it's mostly homescreen lag that you're noticing, you might consider installing an alternative launcher like Nova Launcher, since TouchWiz can be notorious for lagginess.

I have lag going to my homescreen
Lag in the open apps list (when you hold the home button)
Apps lag (like scrolling through facebook)
Typing lags (rear)
Animation lags (turned animations off. Transitions still unclean)
I have google now launcher so it still has that kit kat taste
Im going to unmount my sd n restarting .
I do everything with my sd card like flashing, backing up phone , put games on my sd card etc
So imma try that
