Works on 4g/lte and the first time on my home wifi but then stalls. Firefox and default browser both do it. Tried downloading chrome from playstore but stalls at 35-65%

If I reboot the phone it works for a google search and maybe to open 1 or 2 results but then hangs.

Default browser says page not available, firefox just hangs.
I've tried clearing cache and data from firefox and internet (default browser)
Tried turning off wifi power save mode.

Running 4.4.2 not rooted on telus
Shaw cisco router wpa-2
Can't see any IP conflicts and it's only happening on my phone, the rest in the house seem fine

Any thoughts?

WPA2 using TKIP or TPIK+AES? Try AES only. Or, just to test, no security at all. (Especially if it showed up soon after an update.)

Switched to AES only. Will give that a try. At this moment it all seems OK.
Will try to download chrome again and see how it goes.
Phone started this about 4-5 days ago. System updated to kitkat a few months ago, downloaded and installed another new update today. Took about 3 tries but rebooting the phone let it download and update.
Thanks for your quick reply Rukbat,. I'll let you know if this works.

Well looked good until I realized I had turned on smart network switch. Now daughter says her phone has been acting up as well. She turns off wifi and when she turns it back on its ok for a bit.
Looks like I'm gonna have to assign some addresses, maybe we do have IP conflicts.
Three androids and an Iphone, plus laptops and Ipad, gotta be pretty congested in the poor router.

Let you know,
