Galaxy S3 shows Samsung and Galaxy s3 logo?

Patient:Sprint S3 L710
Symptoms: Turns on by itself when battery is inserted:vibrate, Samsung and Galaxy S3 logo and black screen. No sound
History: Full stock (no root or recovery)


Is it dead?

The only thing i can suggest is a factory reset in recovery.

Hold power button, home button, and volume up at the same time to go into recovery.

I agree with Sean above, but go and clear cache partition.

I tried to put in recovery :-\... I get message booting to recovery and black screen. Tried to boot to download mode and get to the screnn downloading and black screen again

Sorry for the delayed response....I would take it in. You probably have a serious problem that may be hardware related.
