Hi everyone! New to the forum :)

So I have the Galaxy S3 and I am with Telus. Recently I've been having the common problem of receiving texts that are timestamped at one or two minutes ahead of the time it really is. I have read other threads that suggested checking the "Automatic date and time" and "Automatic time zone" which seemed to solve the problem for a lot of people. I have, however, checked those and the incoming texts are still timestamped one or two mins ahead. Does anyone have any other suggestions that I can try??

Thanks!! :)

Same here - Telus, Galaxy S3. I've had the phone since the day it was released. It just started having the same problem last night. I've tried all the fixes I've seen on other forums but nothing has worked. It's definitely not a Telus issue as our LG Optimus G on the same account isn't having any problems at all.

Guys this is (was) a known issue on TELUS SERVER SIDE, Android devices on Telus were getting the wrong time stamp so texts are showing up in the wrong order.
This started at around 12 noon on Saturday and is now resolved as of this morning. ( Monday April 13th )

Should have just dialed 611, and got a ticket like I did so you could have avoided all the trouble you went to :)

Thanks for the heads up. It isn't really trouble for me, I prefer to try to find solutions another way than talk to customer service, as they're not always the most pleasant people.

In this case there really wasn't a solution you could have tried that would have worked since it was server side. I have never had an issue with Telus customer service.
Especially their Tech guys. Then again I am the one that keep emailing them to admit back in the day that they were blocking the old Blackberry Pearls GPS and forcing people to use their Navigator to get full use. They denied it up and down until I hacked the phone and sent them screen shots showing only 1 of 7 GPS points activated. Those were the days ;)
