Galaxy S3 - vertical lines on photo

this has been happening for a while but i just got around to trying to do something about it. I have a rooted S3 running cyanogen mod ver 4.3.1. everything is working fine except the camera...well the camera is working fine too its just when am using flash is when it goes ape s**t. when i use the flash i get vertical multicolored lines on the photo but when am not using flash the photos comes out fine. i search for threads on it but the problems other people have doesn't quite describe this one.

Christmas night I took several pictures and 1 of them had this happen.I have never seem anything like it in any of the literally thousands of pics I've taken (new dad) lol. Was searching for answer too it and found your post.. long story short, I don't have an answer, but would like one. Lol
