Hi,
I have the phone, which I rooted via moto back in May. I don't have a custom rom. I only rooted to move apps to the sd card and to tether. Anyway, I tried the OTA update and it failed while installing after the reboot. So I unrooted by deleting SU and busybox as per the instructions on the webpage in used to root. I tried the update again and it failed. I then re-enabled the apps I disabled and tried again and it failed. I turned Nova Launcher off so it would boot to touchwiz, same result. I am at a loss as to how to get this update installed. It tells me "Install interrupted. The software update could not be installed." any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Any suggestions? Should I restore to factory settings?

I don't know about this update because in my case it always failed but just checking to see if there is an update, but for the last update back in May, I had the same issue, and in a summary it's best for you to simply use Odin and Restore Original Firmware, look for the i337UCUAMDL version (your actual one, not the original), and it will re-install everything as it was before you rooted and begin modifying, the good thing about it is that doing this you won't lose any settings or Apps, then your Update should work perfectly.

After having the phone for 2 months, I didn't do anything with the root. I moved 4 or 5 apps with Folder Mount, but that's it. I installed Nova Launcher which I like. If the update, this one or the next, allows moving apps, for me, I don't need to root.

Same exact thing happened to me. But despite the error, I'm pretty sure the update installed. I'm able to move apps to my SD card and I have stock apps that I didn't have before.

I did what you suggested and it worked! It kept Nova Launcher in tact as well. Love the update. Seems to have fixed my gallery issues since installing the pebble software and apps can be moved to the external. Thanks for the tip!
