One bug that's driving me nuts is the ability of the phone to stay properly connected to my Kenwood BT car receiver. On my S3 we had the older sofware (4.1.2?) and I never had issues, I got into the car, the radio would say "downloading" and in 30 seconds I had full use of the phones calling and audio via BT. It was smooth as silk operation. But now that the S4 has the 4.2.2 software, connecting to my receiver has been a roayl PITA. I'd say MAYBE 25% of the time when I hop in the car, the phone connects. When it doesn't, I open the phone setting and find that the BT settings for either "phone calls" or "playing audio" aren't checked (they were when I left the car say the day before). So I have to check each one of those boxes and the the phone starts to connect. Also, using the Pandora app is nearly 95% useless at this point. Whenever I tune into my receivers Pandora source, the phone never connects up to the phone like it used to so I can't get Pandora to play.
I've reset my car receiver, that helped for maybe a day. I've unpaired the phone, that did little to nothing to help. At this point I never know if/when the phone will pair with the car radio at all. At first I thought it was my radio, but now I'm pretty sure it's the darn 4.2.2. software on the phone, since the older 4.1.2 worked perfectly.
So has anyone encountered this? Anyone been able to fix it? Kenwood doesn't have any newer firmware updates so nothing I can do on that end.
VERY frustrating.
