[GALAXY S4] BUG THREAD!! Found a bug?

Amazing that after a few days in the wild there are so few bugs being reported. The One has only been out a few days longer and their bug thread is at least 8 pages and counting.

I'm pretty sure I set up data roaming properly (allowed data roaming for domestic and even international roaming), but whenever I start to roam, I get the data roaming guard warning saying that I've lost data connectivity because I didn't allow data roaming.

This warning has also shown up when I was on wi-fi and just lost 3G/EVDO signal for a little bit.

Have an ATT s4. The touch tones will not turn off even though its deselected. Everytime i type i hear the stupid clicking. The hepatic feedback wont turn off either. Solution?

Hi,
I'm experiencing a couple of bugs.
1. I use Nova Launcher instead of TouchWiz and sometimes - once or twice a day - when exiting an app or when pressing the Home key the screen goes back to TouchWiz.
2. When the screen is locked, notifications and emails don't display correctly: when you select the message, an empty box appears but nothing happens. I'm not sure what exactly should happen, but something at least.

I haven't been able to prove or disprove this yet, but it seems that when I connect to my home wireless network, the phone seems to crash the network. Laptops, TV, etc everything else seems to lose network connectivity. Then I switch off the WiFi on the phone and a few mins later, everything connects again. It happened about 5 times last night, and already once this evening. However I've now been connected for almost an hour with no problems now. Normally my network is up 99.8%, so the day I come home with the new phone and it crashes that many times, makes me think...

UPDATE..... I updated my D-link router firmware.....the first time since getting it in 2008...we'll see if that helps.

UPDATE 2.... Router firmware update didn't prevent the next crash... It crashed again....now seemingly it's only happened when using Twitter.....and I don't tweet....just read local happenings.

I've experienced this one a few times too. I'd assume it's a Nova problem though, not a bug with the phone necessarily. I could be wrong though.

i got this phone for my wife and the gallery keeps crashing or freezing on us. it either freezes, fail to load all the pictures or just go black and kick us out. i unmount the memory card then mount it back, this seemed to work but, problem came right back..any one having this problem?

Settings> device > language and input > next to Samsung keyboard click settings gear shape> advanced> UNcheck "key-tap sound" .....I hope this helps!

I had lots of problems with the gallery app as well. This fixed it for me if you want to give it a shot.

Settings>More>App Manager>Swipe over to all>Gallery>Clear data>Clear cache


Edit: Just wanted to say I haven't had any problems with the gallery after the first OTA update.

I think i found a fairly large bug, if it's not just for me. I received an MMS from one of my friends and every time I open the messaging app maybe 3 seconds later it crashes and says "Unfortunately, messenger has stopped." I can't read or respond to any messages. I don't even have enough time to delete the MMS before it crashes. It also happened when I was sending an MMS yesterday but it stopped after the message went through. The incoming message isn't downloading, so I cant even wait it out. Anyone have any ideas?

My air view seems to have a bug.. On my lockscreen a small light should follow your finger like it would with a s-pen. It does not work right away, I have to move my finger around, maybe touch it once, then it only starts recognizing my finger. In the message app, I cannot air view a message. I have to go into one of the messages then press the back button then only it starts working. I know it does not air view on one-liner messages.. I'm still within 7 days to return my phone, or is it just a bug that will get fixed, what do you think??

why would you even use HDR for instagram anyways!? Instagram makes great photos worse and using HDR photos for instagram is even worse!

i usually click it to see how it affects the photo, sometimes it adds a nice effect

Do you have the keek app? It does the green thing too but seems like I'm the only one experiencing it. so I might return the phone. (For a replacement that is!)

Does anyone know how to get rid of the eye icon at the top of the screen? I have both smart stay and smart scroll off yet the eye still appears at the top as if they were on.

I do not know if anyone noticed the same problem. As for sound touch, the sound drops and the second immediately after it. it is annoying , therefore turned off the sound of touch.Has anyone noticed the same problem, please write. sorry for bad english. sorry for bad english

Hello, I am using my S4 for 2 days and I noticed an important bug. Every time I am in front of a PC or notebook or even near a large Samsung TV my phne connection drops. I can hear everything but on the other side of the call no one hear anything, This is happening so frequently that I need to use other phones to complete my call. I am using in Brazil (carrier vivo). Please if someone has any clue if it is a configuration bug or technical one? Marcel

I believe I may have found a bug with the Alarm clock.

I have 2 alarms set up for Monday to Friday, for 2 different times, using the location system nwith 2 different addresses located on the map, so that each alarm will only activate when I am at the address listed on the setup.

When setting up the alarm for the first time, I was given a warning message that if the phone is unable to determine the location, the alarm will be set off regardless.

Well, neither of the 2 alarms went off.

GPS was on with strong signal. Addresses were listed and found on the systems map. Alarms worked fine the day before when NOT using the location feature.

Anyone else had this occur?

I am not sure if its a bug or something that is just the normal for the new SAMOLED displays but I have noticed when I pull up the keyboard on top of a white screen (like say searching on Google Now) the screen kind of changes the contrast and almost kinda flickers. Not like flickers off but just changes a bit. It's not really impeding usability but I dont remember ever noticing that on my GS3. And all adapt settings are off. Screen even does it on standard. The screen also kinda flickered when I used it in direct sunlight. Any ideas? P.S I hope everyone is liking their galaxy s4, I know I am!

Just got the s4 and the phone is definitely changing contrast bright then dimming. My nexus 7 does the same thing but more noticeable.
