[GALAXY S4] BUG THREAD!! Found a bug?

Now on my second handset. First one arrived Monday night. Re-booted itself 4/5 times on initial setup, then appeared to settle, then started again on Tuesday night. Call to tech support, did factory re-set, and post yet again 4 re-boots in 15 minutes. So far fingers crossed, replacement handset running fine.

I earned a nice cover with the purchase of my new S4. The problem is that the cover needs to be folded to the back of the device during my calls and it completely avoid the person who I am talking to to listen to my voice. It occurs also when I hold the phone with my left hand over my right ear. It someway block the antenna that is located in the back of the device. Please could someone tell me if this is happening only with me or not, otherwise I will need to replace my device...

Not for me. Try going into settings, application manager, and clear data for the youtube app

I fix it by removeing my other Gmail account. It was conflicting with it I think now videos show instantly instead of t minutes later.

i received my S4 (unlocked) dual-quad core version a couple of days back. Its awesome. one thing i noticed is pretty weird and i can replicate the issue again and again

when i thump the phone on a soft place (like i just kept my phone with a slight thump on the Ipad cover) - the home screen turned BLACK and the S-VIEW screen appeared (and i dont have the s view cover (with the window) for S4 yet.

i could replicate this over and over 6 out of 10 chances. It only works when its done on a padded surface with the back camera facing down) - anyone else noticed this?

I actually like that view to stay but cant find any settings to get that? any help? BTW this my first andrioid phone so i am still learning

I am going to go exchange for it another and hopefully it won't have the same problem if it does also then I might be looking at an HTC One cause I am picky that screens are dang near perfect.

Will update you all again after I go to AT&T and try another one.

I had lots of problems with the gallery app as well. This fixed it for me if you want to give it a shot.

Settings>More>App Manager>Swipe over to all>Gallery>Clear data>Clear cache

looks like this doesnt work anymore. Gallery doesnt work at all.. keeps force closing or not showing any of the pictures smh..this is crap.. my wife is ready to return the phone

I am not sure if its a bug or something that is just the normal for the new SAMOLED displays but I have noticed when I pull up the keyboard on top of a white screen (like say searching on Google Now) the screen kind of changes the contrast and almost kinda flickers. Not like flickers off but just changes a bit ... Update on my Galaxy S4 is there is more screen issues appearing.

The screen is doing a weird little flickering and banding of the colors. Extensive searching shows that it's only you and me seeing the problem!
To really see it bad take a photo, or view a photo, with a large area of a solid color. It will appear to have bands of stripes through it, like the colors are reduced to 256.

More details: I tried every possible Display setting and nothing mattered. I could get the weird effect to change slightly by moving my finger across the screen. This tells me it is related to the touch-screen electronics.

UPDATE: I was literally driving to Sprint to exchange it and stopped to have my oil changed. Pulled the phone out and the problem was gone! I cannot reproduce it now at all. Time will tell.

If it happens again I'll get some video to show the folks at Sprint so that they believe me, in case it is working fine when I go.

Guys was any one able to replicate the issue or is it intended functionality. If it's a feature how do I enable it without the sview cover.

I think I havce discovered 2 bugs

BUG 1
I have discovered a bluetooth issue specific to this phone when trying to listen to media
I have a motorcycle bluetooth headset see here ( Review: (Aldi) Bauhn Bluetooth Stereo Helmet Headset )

This headset works perfectly on my old HTC Incredible and Motorola Rzr.

However is only works effectively with phone calls on the Galaxy S4. When I try to playt music through it the audio keeps cutting in and out very rapidly to the point you cant even tell what song is playing. I took the headset over my mates house and works perfectly on his Galaxy S3.

It seems to be a problem specific to bluetooth "headsets" as I tried my phone on his bluetooth NFC speakers and it worked flawlessly.

S3 specs say Bluetooth version is 4.0 high speed
S4 specs say Bluetooth version is BT 4.0 LE (A2DP / AVRCP)

I'm not sure if this is a copmpatability issue or a bug on the S4.

The headset itself says it is Bluetooth 2.0 campatible. I would assume that BT 4.0 would be backward compatible? Any ideas?

BUG 2
The multi window selection TAB that floats around the edge of the home screen seems to suddenly disapear when the Multi Window is still turned on. THe only way to get it back is to turn Mutli WIndow off then back on.

only fix to the gallery at the moment is to unmount the sdcard then mount it back...smh....shouldnt have to be like that

I got the s4 international version yesteday. Everything is amazing.. I love the feel of the s4... One bug I am facing is with S health.. When I open it first time it asks for the agreement thing than after i click next a black screen comes up and error message that s health has stopped.. and now when ever I open it, it just gives a black screen !!

I tried disabling it from the app manager, when I enable it again the same agree page shows up and same problem.. what to do ??

Hi,
I am experiencing screen banding on my brand new S4.
When I open a white background, it displays slightly darker at the "samsung logo" side, than it does on the other side.
(the best way to see is to turn the phone horizontally and compare the left and right side of the screen.
Is this a normal thing?
Can you guys see it on your S4s as well, or is it a problem with my device only?

PS - I did this with auto brightness on, with the phone indoors. With maximum brightness, it seems to even out.

Custom Vibration for SMS/TEXT message not working. The phone will vibrate when receiving a text message, but I can't seem to get it use a custom or anything other than Default.

Do the bands sorta shimmer as well?
I have the problem with all and any display settings.

UPDATE: Sprint replaced my phone no questions asked.
