Galaxy S4 - Images and videos in gallery are broken.

@ B.Diddy - I don't think the card is corrupted. When I take new pictures they are readable in the gallery and PC. It's only the pictures and videos taken before 15 March that is not being displayed. So it is some problem with the photos and not the card i believe.

The whole card may not be corrupted, but I'd be concerned that the existing images corrupted due to a problem with the card (e.g., it could be getting old -- the older a card is, the higher the chance of individual file corruption). You can keep using the card if you want, but personally, if I encounter an issue with a card, I tend to avoid using that one if I care about the data I save to it.

@ B.Diddy - Very well understand your view and I am surely gonna get a new card soon.
I am also hoping that I can be able to retrieve the pictures and videos that I have lost. The problem is the same when I connect the card to my laptop as well. So I am wondering what I can try other than the things I have already tried.

It won't help now but I would download the Google Photos app and make sure all my photos and videos are automatically backed up to that app every day. That way you won't lose your photos again due to an SD card fail.

If you opt for unlimited photos by going for that option when saving your photos (They are compressed slightly) you can store as many photos as you desire. Videos come off your 15GB default storage space you get with your google account.
