Galaxy S4 keyboard

I will the Galaxy S4 keyboard but i have a huge problem with it. If i type something that is not in the dictionary it will replace it nbd. But if i type the word and hit the arrow to add it to my dictionary it will only work for a short time. Let's say i use the arrow on ****, I can type **** all I want and it works... until I go to about 2 more different text boxes, such as two different text messages later. After that it will keep trying to put in shot instead of sh*it like it did before I did the arrow thing. Am I doing something wrong because this problem is preventing me from typing things like cuz or other simple things. They just don't seem to be sticking in the dictionary.
