You can't reboot? How about force reboot by holding power button until it resets? Battery pull?

Also, are you sure it updated completely to 4.3 and didn't get stuck?

Come on bros, 4.3 on at&t is a locked bootloader update with no exploit. You can't install custom recoveries or kernels at the moment and probably never will...
The most you can do is safestrap and run ROMs compatible with your kernel and bootloader version combination. For example, on MK2 you can only run ROMs that are based on the 4.3 of touchwiz or google play edition ROMs.

You need to flash a stock MK2 recovery through odin and see if that fixes you. If not, you need to do the entire odin restore process.
Here is a link for just the recovery, check if it works. Just make sure MK2 is the 4.3 you updated to and if the recovery flash went through and bricked your phone.

Try getting it from this post then. It also includes the guide for an mk2 restore, but before proceeding with the guide, flash the recovery first, if it still says invalid md5, ask in that thread to see the if the original poster has any insight as to why its failing the md5.

Is there way to get an ruu without the locked boot loader??
And down grade?
from my wonderfully rooted gs4 woot

What about 4.3 on Verizon SCH-I545 VRUEMK2? I had just installed my custom recovery and then somehow ended up in odin as well.

The first paragraph of the third post still applies. Locked bootloader, can't install custom kernel or recoveries on mk2.

I just ODIN the MF3 tar files in.
and is doing the OTA update now to 4.3, I had tried many times and it would go in "cannot do normal boot"

Okay i was here too. Hold volume down and power button when it asks you if you want to install custom os just select "cancel" it will boot normally but will not remove your custom recovery that you flashed... hope It helped...

OK you need the stock.tar files for mk2 you cannot flash a custom recovery on mk2 only safe strap no twrp no cwm no Phil recovery only safe strap and we can only flash touch wiz roms no AOSP no google edition no cyanogen our boot loaders are locked any other kernel won't boot

Hi, my phone was in ODIN mode for a while, then it suddenly shut down and I can't wake it up no matter what I do(taking out the battery, SD card, SIM card, then placing them back and pressing both volume buttons and the power button. Kinda panicking because the phone hasn't been working since yesterday!

i just now got my gs4 out of odin mode from installing a firmware update and it got stuck, you need to download odin3 v1.85 on your pc then download GalaxyS4-CWM-6.0.4.4-Sprint.tar or which ever carrier your is from. mine was sprint then open odin3v and click on were it says phone then find the tar file and open that so it runs the file threw odin and click start, it'll work its magic and force reboot the phone so its back to working order :) hope this helps anyone with the same problem
