Galaxy S4 - Titanium and clockworkmod recovery.

Is backing your phone with titanium backup the same thing as backing up with clockworkmod? If not, how can I get clockworkmod recover on the Samsung Galaxy s4?

It isn't. Titanium backup is an app by app backup, which means, it takes the apk and data of the application, zips it and thats it. A nandroid backup is a backup of an entire partition, unless you specifically choose to backup the "data" partition only, which is where your apps are, you will also get a backup of the system, kernel and any other supported partitions.

You can't get CWM on an S4 unless it's been Loki'd or has an unlocked bootloader.

That's dependant on the model and Android version. I have TWRP and never had to unlock the bootloader or Loki it.
