Galaxy S4 : Way to go straight to voicemail

I have always had a code string on all my phones to eliminate having to type in the password everytime.
How do you do it on this phone?

Open phone, bottom left button, select call settings, select voicemail settings, after *86 add two pauses and your password.

I'm having a problem getting to my voicemail messages. A recording is saying the feature is not updated. Any suggestions
