Galaxy S4 wont charge after getting really hot!
My phone took a dump yesterday. It had about 10% battery so I plugged it in. The charging port is a little loose so I had to find a spot for it to charge. It started getting really hot to where it hurt to touch it. By now the battery was at 1%. The phone shut off. It then turned on with a screen saying downloading fromy target, after go ogling about that usually people just take out their batteries so I did that and put it back In. I got a different charger and plugged it in. It started turning on then turned off right away after the splash screen. It eventually got to the Verizon screen then would shut off.
I have an external battery charger with an extra battery. I charged up the extra battery a bit and put in the phone. It turned on and everything worked except it wouldn't charge. I then charged up the old battery and put it in. Same thing everything works but won't charge.
I have tried multiple cables, outlets, tried the computer, phone does nothing.
I cleaned the port out and got some lint out but still won't charge.
I am hoping that it's just the charging port that needs to be replaced but wanted to see what other people think.
thank you!
