Galaxy S5 and 5G?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone might hazard a guess as to when our two Galaxy S5 will become useless with AT&T and Verizon because of 5G?

AT&T won't be shutting down their 3G services for another 3 years. Verizon, depending on who you talk to, won't allow 3G devices after 2019 and have already started refusing to activate them now.

But 4G LTE will still work for a long while. It'll take years for the 5G network to build up enough before anyone can even start thinking of abandoning 4G.
