Galaxy S5: Anyone preorder already??

I ordered through bestbuy and the only option was shipping to my home address. From what I can find the earliest the website says it will arrive is 4/15 and I'm hoping I get it before then.

Oh, I ordered through the tmobile store, they gave me the option of having it shipped to me, or shipped to them. I chose them for in store pickup.

soo I got an email from business sales for Verizon regarding my government account, and they claimed April 1st was the day to begin verizon pre-orders yet here we are.. nothing. grr

I saw that screen shot and with Verizon's track record (other than with the M8), I knew better than to believe it.

honestly, i was feeling good, especially after my last phone (the G2) was released on verizon before every other carrier..figured maybe they were turning a new leaf and actually somewhat cared about giving customers what they want.

FWIW, I'm talking to a rep on the website chat, and they're saying the email information was incorrect and pre-orders begin April 5th. take that with a grain of salt..

she also explained that if you have a pre-order, you'll get it on release date...it won't be shipped on the 11th; rather, it'll be at your door on the 11th. i hope that's true!

I just talked to a Verizon rep who said the phone just showed up on their equipment list. They still don't know when it will be available. She did tell me that the price will be $249 with a $50 rebate.

wow, that's a joke lol. should be 199, period. that helps small stores make more money, though. when i was an authorized retailer it was great..MIR's mean the store collected 250, which made us money, and people would get 50 back from VZW..so yeah, i guess it's a good thing.

the rep i spoke with in chat couldn't confirm the off contract pricing, which is all i care aobut. i was banking on it being 650, but now i'm seeing it might be more, and i'm pissed lol

I think the full donkey price will be at the $649 threshold for the 16gb version. This will be in line with the other carriers - I've always despised the rebates too - they bank on consumers forgetting to send for them, which means more Dinero for them.

I just pre-ordered from T Mobile. The front page says you'll receive it on release if you pre order today. At checkout, they told me to expect it by April 16th... Here is hoping that I get it on release.

I love the HTC One series, but I have never owned a Samsung phone and I want to give it a shot this year.

No because I wasn't going to be in the area at the time. Doesn't detract from T-Mobile's misdirection. You can't tell people "Get it by launch if you preorder by blah" and then be like "oh ya, only for express shipping". No where in their pre-order pages online say that this was the case. Had they, I would have opted for express. It's whatever though.
