Galaxy S5 Gallery picture quality.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm having a weird issue with my phone.

A friend sent me a picture on whatsapp, I wanted to crop it so I selected 'view in gallery'

For some reason, the picture quality completely changes when i view it in the gallery? The colours are duller than when I view it in whatsapp.

I also notice the same thing from thumbnails in the gallery - a thumbnail will look quite bright and as soon as I click on the image to view it it looks a lot less vibrant. I can't think what could possibly be causing this. Does anyone have any idea? It doesn't happen with every image.

Offhand, I am not sure what to suggest to change on the phone. Have you tried looking at the file on a PC and see if it is any different?
