I was trying to change Gallery so it takes jpg instead of heic

Online it says
"If you have a Samsung Galaxy S10 phone, it has an inbuilt app to convert HEIC to JPG.

Open your gallery app.
Tap on the three-dot button in the top right corner.
Click on setting.
Scroll down and click on the “Convert HEIF images when sharing” option to enable it, and you're done. "

(or you can see it on this YT vid
)

When I go to Settings, I do not have “Convert HEIF images when sharing”

Can I not change this?

Thanks

Hi!
Just so I undetstand, are you trying to change the format for taking pictures to .jpg or just convert HEIC pictures to JPG?

If your trying to save pictures taken in JPG, look in your camera settings, then, Advanced picture settings & toggle off High efficiency pictures.

If your trying to convert a HEIC fornat, it appears Samsung pulled this built-in feature in one of its updates.

I just took a picture in HEIC. I then cropped a tiny bit of the photo & saved it as a copy. It saved as a JPG. You only need to make a small edit of the HEIC to save it in JPG. Then you can go on from there.

Hope this helps!
