Galaxy S5: How's everyone's battery life so far?

Here's what I did: I stopped using live wallpaper and use a black leather looking home screen. I uninstalled app killer, look out, anti virus, ram and cache cleaner(s). I disabled animations and I toggle locations on and off when needed.

Wow, it almost comes close to a Flex! But you gotta dig pretty deep huh.

Wifi and bt and GPS on, location on, Knockon off, no airplane or other cheating....5.5hrs of screen time six of calling half an hour of camera work across a 65hr three day period. And I browse with the intensely battery sucking Opera. Brightness was either minimum or max depending what I was up to.

This is the first smartphone I've had where I can tolerate the oem battery life. Normally I need an extended battery.

Battery on both are identical.

Currently 16 hours of total time and 5 hours screen time...not sure why but I thought I was getting 7 hours screen time before

Had my S5 a week now and can't believe how good the battery life is.

on average my phone has screen on time of around 3 hours every day. During working hours I'm mainly on 4G and wifi in the evenings.

on my S4 I would go to bed having had to charge around about 6pm every night. On my S5 I have at least 25% left at bedtime.

The difference is unreal. Good job Sammy.

I was really impressed with the battery life on the S5 compared to prior Samsung phones especially when playing games. Big thumbs up to the power mgt they have with that company they partnered with.

I've had mine since Tues night. Here is my battery nfo. It's taking some getting used to and a lot to learn/tweak but I'm really liking this phone!

Getting better and better every day. Using my Gear 2 Neo all day during Working Days and 3 or 4 hours a day on weekends, using it to do my Run Workouts, and a lot of Internet Browsing, tons of emails, calls and messages.

Funny you should mention this because for the first couple weeks after I got my S5, the battery life was astounding, it scarcely seemed to diminish. Then, suddenly, it started to lose charge at a notably quicker pace.

If I mainly browse the internet on only 4G LTE (no wifi), use yahoo messenger, txt msg, fb app, instagram, some camera work and a few hours of tethering to my PC, all throughout the day from 8:30am to midnight, how long do you think the battery would last?

That would be tight. 16 hours of pretty heavy use is about the limit of one charge.
