Galaxy S5 metal version coming in May?

I think the 2K screens would make a notable difference once you get into phablet territory like with the G Pro 2.

For all of us that aren't into the "Band-Aid brand" texture I'm quite certain there will be a plethora of economical alternatives offered via Amazon, et al. Samsung Mobile certainly knows this as well so I'm curious as to what else a "premium" S5 would offer to open purses and loosen wallets.

I always use a case on every phone I have owned so I don't consider the batter door texture to be an issue for me. I actually like the design of the Spigen cases for the S5 which carried the dimpled look or as you call it bandaid look. Seems nice to me.

Though a good idea, I'd be afraid of using non-Samsung battery covers causing issues with the IP rating. I think the only bad looking one is the gold option. I definitely want to put my hands on it before making any decisions. The Xperia Z2 in purple looks pretty awesome.

Me too, so I should really care less about it than I do. The S5's back isn't all that bad it's just not a design I'd prefer over, say, the Note 3's.

The good thing about removable battery doors is you can swamp them for something else and be happy with the alternative. But I always go with a case, for extra protection.
