I have many photos in Picasa, sorted into many folders. On the S5, it displays all the picasa pics as one folder. On my S3 it displayed the folders individually.

Any ideas on how to display the pics in folders?

I just switched from an S4 (4.3) to S5 (4.4.2) and have the exact same issue, and not finding any solutions or even any mention of the problem until running across your post.

Did you have any luck solving this annoyance??

Thanks,
Matthew

I am with you - this is absolutely killing me. Anyone find any solutions at all?

Nope. My Picasa albums sync perfectly fine through Google+ to the Photos app but if synced directly to the Gallery app (which I prefer to do) it's just one big mess with no albums and over 6000 pictures running wild and free.

If you're using Picasa and syncing web albums, they will sync to Google+ provided you use that too. Check your app drawer for the "Photos" app, that is basically just a short cut to the photos in Google+. All your Picasa web albums will be there, you just have to sign in through your Google account.

OK I tried that but it isn't as clean as the gallery on my S4. Hopefully they will fix this.
