galaxy s5 thinks headphones are plugged in

hi everyone i am needing help today i noticed i had a load of missed calls on my phone i thought i had just not heard the phone but then i noticed the headphone icon was on but no headphones plugged in i have tried resetting the phone and blowing the port out with compressed air however this did not fix the problem the phone is only a couple months old is anyone else got the same problem or know how to fix this issue please cheers for reading and any help giving

Welcome to Android Central! Sometimes the tip of a headphone plug can break off in the jack--is that a possibility? Are you able to plug headphones in completely, or does it not seem to go in all the way?

When you say you reset the phone, do you mean a full factory reset, or just a soft reboot?
