But it isn't even logical. It can't go from being put on the local delivery truck this morning to showing back up at the Newark sort facility 150 miles away in 2 hours. If the delivery date changed I'd be worried, but it still says today. I think their system has issues.

How does the Verizon BOGO free work?
I only have one Verizon line, would I have to agree to just another 2 year contract or pay for another separate line altogether for the second phone?

That's what I thought. Don't need another Verizon bill every month.


On the other hand, depending on your plan it might only be $10 a month and $240 (if you switch it to a dumbphone and cancel data plan) is less than you could sell that second phone for.

That's what I did. Except I had to add two lines because none were eligible to upgrade. Still coming out alright after I sell one. Mine actually just arrived. I ordered one in black and one in white to see which I liked better in person. Today's a good day.

Well I am now at the mercy of the FedEx driver. I am having it delivered to where I work and my tracking now says Delivery Exception - Incorrect Address. FedEx called me saying the driver says it is an incomplete address. My money is Verizon didn't put down my room and building number that was on it when I ordered it, and so it is telling the FedEx driver just to deliver it at the campus with no specification for where on campus. I clarified the building and address number with FedEx and apparently they have everything they need now and will re-attempt delivery today, though there is no ETA. I'm going away this weekend and am going to pretty annoyed if I can't bring the S5 with me and have to wait til Monday.

Argh, it required signature confirmation and nobody was home. Now I won't be able to get it until at least tomorrow, or maybe Monday since the tracking page says "Weekday Delivery". This is frustrating.

Are you able to find out where the phone is going to be at the end of the route? I've been able to pick up a UPS package at the end of the day when I missed delivery due to being at work. I'd call UPS/FedEx and see if you can pick it up tonight.

Pick it up at the depot. Call them and give them the tracking number and tell them to have it ready for you for pick up.

Edit: Ok the automated voice service didn't want to allow me to hold the package for pickup since the sender specifically requested home delivery only. But I was eventually able to reach an operator who made the hold arrangement for me.

This! I have the same problem except they said they couldn't delivery it to my house because there wasn't an apartment number! Duh it's a private house. They also told me they would reattempt. I'm hopeful. If not I'll go get it at my local FedEx tonight or tomorrow.

according to Droid-Life, Verizon disabled the feature that lets you pay for paypal with your fingerprint using the scanner. Buncha scumbags :(.
 
And the reattempt was successful! Still not in my hands though :-(
