Considering how quick the lifecycles of devices are these days, and the fact that manufacturers are churning out new devices all throughout the year, it's hard to say that one phone is clearly the best in a given year, because 6 months later, it will start to become old news. And besides that, the Android community is so varied in its preferences for devices that what's good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander. Lots of people love Samsung because of TouchWiz and all of the added features, but others dislike it for the exact same reasons. (Personally, I have little use for them, and don't like how they take up 8 GB of internal storage.)
