I've read through some similar threads but nothing exactly like what I'm experiencing. Within the past couple of weeks I started noticing that the phone was having trouble charging. As the problem got worse it would intermittently vibrate and flash and stop charging, but then resume normal charging. The problem got so bad I was unable to get it to take a charge at all and the battery ran out completely. So I took it to the Verizon store. The guy plugged it in using his charger and it immediately started charging. Problem solved. I needed a new charger. Not so fast. Once I got it home and started using it again the problem returned. Today in frustration I turned the phone off. After a few minutes I plugged it in and it immediately started charging, and in less than an hour was at 100%. So I turned it back on and started making calls. After a while I plugged it in to see if it would charge and I get the same issue. Help!

Have you tried to use other power source? Maybe the power source you are using to charge your phone is broken/unstable

Thanks for the response. However as I mentioned when I was at the Verizon store they sold me a brand new charging unit that they sell for all standard "non-Apple" phones. Although yesterday I was able to charge the phone as long as it was off, today that's not working either. It seems that the phone itself is developing a problem that may not be solvable.

Sounds like this will be a trial and error job. I'd start with the charging port itself. Any pocket lint hanging around in there?
