Android Central Question
I have had my S6 Active since a week after launch in 2015. I like it fine. It can get painfully slow and dreadfully hot, especially when running Google Maps. I dislike not having an expanded storage option but it's not a deal breaker.
Since this phone is paid off and due for an upgrade, I'm considering the S8 Active. I'm a busy ER nurse and the rugged case and battery life are pretty necessary for my lifestyle.
However, when looking at the specs, am I mistaken that the S8 Active is an inferior phone? My S6 has a 16MP rear facing camera but standard across Samsung phones right now appears to be 12MP. Is it somehow better than my current model?
Is it even worth an upgrade? The S9 leaked specs don't seem to have an upgraded camera either, though I would have to wait for summer to see an S9 Active option.
Thanks for feedback!
