Galaxy S6 Active

Since there is no device forum for the S6 Active, I thought I'd try and start a thread here for now. I'm dying for a good review to come out today. I'm the kind of guy who gets a new phone when the AT&T store opens up the morning of release day. Here are my only sticking points I want to know before I trade in my S5.

#1. Does the camera have Optical Image Stabilization? I can't seem to find a solid answer on that. Many websites don't mention it, and the ones that do are still listing leaked specs that were wrong.

#2. Does 3550 mAh truly give this phone Note-4-beating battery life? I saw one site list 23 hours+ talk time on 3G, which is an improvement, but it also said 57 hours music streaming, which is a huge drop from the Note 4's rated 80 hours.

I don't care how ugly everyone thinks the phone is. I'm not getting it because I need to impress anyone. I'm getting it because I work outdoors all day, and my phones can take a beating sometimes. And I don't always have access to a charger.

To the best of my knowledge, you are getting the GS6 with a larger battery less card slot, replaceable battery and fingerprint scanner. It should perform well from a battery perspective given the optimization on the GS6.

That's the part that makes no sense to me...why only on ATT? I'm not in the market for one either way as I already have the Edge but still...if Samsung is investing in getting these things built and out for consumers then why are they only selling them through ATT? You would think "they" would also be available on Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, as well as the smaller carriers that also have the S6 and the Edge??? Not sure if this is a Samsung thing or all the other carriers don't want it??? Stupid!

I'll definitely let you know...there's still a chance I change my mind and decide to wait for the Nexus 5 version 2 with Android Marshmallow.

For some reason, Samsung must have run the numbers and decided that the money At&t pays them to keep it exclusive is more than the profits they could make by selling on the other 3 carriers. Hard to believe that would be the case though!

They have them, I played with the display model. Optical Image Stabilization confirmed. They said it was a hard launch date, and are making me come back tomorrow. Oh well.
