Galaxy S6 battery drain.

Hey all i signed up just to reply to this I have been searching around about this with my s5 neo I know not s6 but after upgrading to android 7 I was experiencing REALLY bad battery life... i have fixed it now... main things I did were disabling all the Google apps I don't use to reduce Google play services drain and then I did a cache partition wipe and this seemed to be the key... after that I only dropped 2% in 3 hrs stand by...

Turn off phone

Hold volume up + power + home buttons

It will say installing update then do some android hanging by a noose image and freeze for about a minute don't worry it will take you into another screen

Use volume down button to go to wipe cache partition and press power key to select it the choose yes

Takes about 3 seconds then use volume up to go to reboot system or something... and voila!

Wiping this cache does not change anything in your phone what it does is erase old version files that are still in your phone that the OS is still reading through to find the files it needs hence using more power...

I hope this helps and thank you to any an all that posted this solution on here I found it digging around in these forums

My battery REALLY sucks

Hi - I know that this thread is somewhat dated, but I'm posting here instead of starting a new thread in the hopes that I can get some help. It seems like my battery life has gotten much worse recently - maybe tied to a recent OS upgrade. I've done many of the recommendations in this thread, but I don't want to turn this into a flip phone, including by constantly using power saving mode. I went to Verizon and the guy said I'm pretty much screwed because the OS upgrades are all optimized for newer phones. True?

And why the disparity between the estimated time shown between the two battery functions?

Here are some screen shots:Screenshot_20180101-142718.jpgScreenshot_20180101-142740.jpg

For me it started right before the latest update, my battery drained somewhat faster than normal but not that much that i thought that there were would be something wrong.
The latest update is seriously draining my battery, if i am just browsing, i see a percentage go every 5 minutes.
I do not have a lot of apps, i installed LED manager because i never get the warning LES without that app. Yesterday i deleted almost all my apps, except whatsapp, the drain continues.
Could it be that i have too much video's and pictures on my phone, because the (slower) drain started when i made a 3gb video.
Hope someone can help me, my phone is one year old and without use it even drains a lot.
