Galaxy S6 fell into water for split second, now back button activates by itself, advice?

My phone was wrapped in my shirt on the bathroom counter and i forgot it was in there, picked up my shirt and the phone fell into the toilet for less than a second before I snatched it, now the back button keeps pressing repeatedly by itself. Is there anything I can do?

Stop running electricity through the water that is trapped in the phone. #1 hands down the fastest way to ruin a phone short of a chainsaw.

Power down. If possible remove the battery. remove cards, etc...

Thank you so much for the reply! I figured that it couldn't have gotten much water inside if for how little time it was submerged, so I left it off from last night through most of today and it seems to be in working order *knock on wood!*
