AC Question

Hi there,

I've had my S6 for just shy of 2 years, and for the last few months I've started to notice that it gets extremely hot around the power button area of the phone if my screen is on for 10 or 15 minutes straight (I'm reading articles or playing games or snapchatting). I have seen plenty of posts about the screen getting hot when the phone is left charging, or when someone has been using their phone for several hours, but I have not found other posts about such short and normal usage causing an issue. Is my phone fried? I do not want to turn my phone off every time it gets so hot, because this has become a daily issue and I will just set my phone down for a few minutes with the screen off so it can cool down (50% of the time it gives me the notice that the phone is taking steps to cool down, but the other 50% of the time it doesn't seem to be aware of its own burning temperature). I recently started to use the Greenify app to minimize background apps that are overworking, but this does not seem to help my temperature issue at all. Basically, is this a defect? Or is it just time to upgrade because the phone is worn out? Or does anyone have a similar experience and have they been able to fix it?
