After the nougat update my phones multimedia applications hang up after a few hours and will not work until restart. These apps include: any video player (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, default video player), and anything that has sound (music, ringtone, even my alarms).

I'm saving factory reset as a last resort. I have no reason to believe it's an app I downloaded causing this as it was only after the os update and I had not added any new apps after.

If anyone has any idea on how to fix this I'll greatly appreciate the feedback.

Went two days without it happening and right after I post a thank you reply it happens again. Irony

Argh.:-\ I would say that it still could be due to an app you installed, because if the system update itself might have introduced some subtle incompatibility with one of them. It's worth booting into Safe Mode and seeing if any of the preinstalled multimedia apps still hang after some time.

Did you find a solution to this? I have the same problem. Factory reset didn't fix it.
