There's poor ram management on Samsung flagships. Here's hoping that Marshmallow fixes it.

Actually this is how Android works. Android tries to fill the phones RAM up as much as possible and then it frees up if needs space for more things. This way items will launch faster and not have longer load times. This is perfectly shown by how the OP said he clears it and then it shows 75% again.

Meh, that's only partially correct. Samsung phones are known for using way more RAM than they should. Look at the Nexus 6P for example, it always is much less and with only 3GB of ram, it doesn't mean it fills it up completely. It's much much lower. That is why Samsung phones when you try to reopen apps that should be left untouched, they actually refresh and start all over because they've lost their place in memory.

That is true but that is because Nexus phones have less running. Samsung is known for having "feature rich" (or bloat .. depends on the person) phones so it makes sense. The more stuff you have running the more it will use. Also the refreshing depends on the launcher as well. TW is known for needing tons of redraws and such. I am using Google Now Launcher on my S7 Edge and so far so good.

Clearing RAM actually causes more drain since you can watch the system sit there and start to work to fill it back up again.
