Galaxy S6 - Reboots when connected to charger

Hi: Here is my current situation. My S6 reboots when connected to charger (both wired and wireless). The only way I can get the charging to work is to enable the Ultra Power Saving mode. Other than this the phone works perfectly.

Here are the things I tried and my observations

• Did factory reset and still same behavior after the factory reset was done
• Starting in Safe mode also did not fix the problem - Restarts when connected to charger
• Replaced battery and still same behavior
• Wiress charging also causes the phone to reboot. With this, I am assuming that the charger port is not the issue
• For some reason, I am not able to start my phone by pressing power button or go into the recovery menu by pressing POWER+VOLUME UP+HOME. The only way I can start the phone is by pressing POWER+VOLUME DOWN+HOME. Not sure if this is any indication of the problem

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am stuck without replacement phone in the interim.

That is very weird. Try plugging in your phone or placing it on the inductive pad while it is already rebooting. Does it reboot when you do that?

When I do this, it keeps looping through boot cycle forever and never boots up.

Does your S6 work on other devices' chargers? Do other devices work on your S6 charger?
