Anybody got the update on EE in the UK yet, their taking forever

Nope. And I don't think I will update until all the apps I use work with M. And by that time all the little issues with M will be resolved as well.
I am more interested in Samsung pay and when we get that.

Yup, both EE, both S6.

I've been checking for updates every day for weeks on mine. I checked on hers randomly a couple of hours ago and it showed up. Also noticed that it had last auto checked itself today but mustn't have found it then so sounds like it's just started.

Mines still saying it's up to date however.

I did find out that an EE S6 bought from Carphone Warehouse does actually use a slightly different firmware than an EE S6 bought direct from EE.
Just so happens my girlfriends EE S6 that has Marshmallow was bought from Carphone Warehouse and mine wasn't.

EDIT: I'm wearing my conspiracy tinfoil hat and saying that EE are using carphone warehouse buyers as marshmallow beta testers before they release it fully across their network

What's the build number on your device? The BTU (non-branded) update has been available for a few weeks

That's the international firmware which hasn't been updated yet Not a problem with your device. It seems odd it doesn't have BTU or XEU firmware. Did you buy it in the UK or online? Don't know how your GF is getting on with Marshmallow but battery life for me is not as good as Lollipop

Tbh it's made it smoother but had some real weird battery drain on it..
Google services 30%+
Android OS 20%+
Dunno why and yes I've wiped the cache lol.
Also Google play services keeps popping up to say update it otherwise certain features won't work.. but it never updates!
You press on update and nothing happens

I bought mine in the UK direct from EE but through their online store - so a bit of both.
The first week with it, she seems to be getting decent battery life, but it was a non-usual week so I'll need to see how it compares to a regular week.

Sounds annoying. I've heard a few people complaining about battery drain on MM.
I think I'm probably going to do a factory reset when I finally get the update, just to be sure

For the last week I've been using an app called Doze (as opposed to the Doze function in MM) and that has really helped with my battery life. Definitely worth trying IMHO

Yeah. But to be honest I don't really care about MM that much. I'm more interested in Samsung pay or android pay. I see there are some issues with MM anyway so better to wait.
