Android Central Question

I've taken several screenshots in the past with no issue, but one day my phone just suddenly stopped doing it. I usually used the home button/power button method, but that no longer works. I've tried the swipe method and it worked the first time, then never again. I tried looking up my problem, but all I could find were people just not holding the buttons down long enough or not pushing them at the same time. I'm definitely doing these. One time I even held it down for at least 30 seconds, but nothing. The swipe method just does nothing at all now after the first try. I'm not sure what to do. Can phones get viruses outside of apps? I've not downloaded anything that wasn't in the Google Play store.

Welcome to Android Central! It can be a little tricky to press both buttons at exactly the same time, and you should only have to keep them pressed for about half a second. Are you certain you're pressing them at exactly the same time?

Does the problem still happen in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-29226
