Galaxy S7 auto brightness glitch

Recently my auto brightness has been very sensitive and it's annoying. I went to turn the AB off but it's already off. I checked it back on, it adjusts, then unchecks again and starts the sensitive auto brightness again.

I checked my settings thoroughly but don't notice anything different. I installed a proximity sensor calibrator and it's still acting strange. Could it be some other app I've installed? I've searched forums but can't find anyone with the same problem.

Ever since the July update I have been having glitches where the brightness stays at half or higher, regardless of ambient lighting. I've restarted the phone a couple times and that fixed it each time, but we'll see if it keeps happening.
