Galaxy S7 Edge Encrypted - Only 10 attempts before factory reset

[Android Central Question]

I found I am missing photos from 2017, so I grabbed my old from my closet and after charging my phone says if I don't get the password right after 10 attempts it will factory reset and wipe all files!
I've tried 8 attempts hoping one of my common used passwords would be it, but so far none. I really cannot risk losing the years of photos in here as they were from important times in my life. I tried connecting it to my laptop, but won't read it to navigate in the file folders.

Does anyone know a way I could go in and grab the files and pictures?!

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, but no. This is why it's important to (a) remember your passwords (or write them down somewhere if there's a chance you'll forget them) and (b) keep your important photos and other data backed up or synced somewhere on a regular basis.
