Galaxy S7 Edge has a mind of its own

Hi guys I am new here and its my first ever post.

I bought a Galaxy S7 edge a few months ago and I absolutely love the phone, however, a few days ago I have this problem where the phone acts as if I am pressing areas on the screen. For example, the keyboard will dissapear while typing or I would be playing a video and it would pause the video. I thought it may be that I am pressing buttons accidentally due to the edge but its the same issue if i leave the phone on a table so its something within the phone. I hate to factory reset my phones so I thought maybe someone else has the same issue and a possible fix "hopefully"

There have been a couple of instances where poor quality screen protectors have been causing ghost touches. Do you have a screen protector on?

I had this issue and ended up having to return my device for a replacement. The funniest one was when I tried to open my calculator app and instead it opened my bank app lol
