hey guys, I have an s6 but my battery is solo bad I'm willing to try the S7.

Now I buy unlocked phones due to traveling and cheaper prepaid plans so I'm wondering what is the difference between the regular unlocked S7 and the Duos Unlocked S7 (dual Sim)

Do they get updates on the same time? do they have the same bands? will the duos be more complicated to use or will it be the exact same if only 1 Sim is inserted?

the reason I ask is because the duos is actually cheaper (around $60 cheaper) and its actually only costing me $200 out of pocket once I sell my phone for $320

thanks guys

The FD has radios for southeast Asia, the F has radios for the world. (Voice and text will be the same, data won't be.)

Wrong. Both have same radios and support same frequency. I ve an FD. Using it in EU. Works perfectly on every carrier with 4G+. I ve flashed latest BTU stock rom for the 930F through Odin (doesn't trip Knox for stock roms). For faster updates. All 930F stock roms have dual sim functionality built into them. Go for FD, you will not regret.

Yes. I have the FD. They're both the same. Running the same software. Same hardware. Same same. Just the added benefit of using the micro SD slot for another Sim.

If you're worried about the updates then yes. You should get the F model. I got the FD model with God knows what firmware. I'm in Asia though. And it was running an old old firmware with no updates. I flashed the Indian duos firmware and have been getting updates since.

I suggest you don't get into the hassle of flashing and getting the F model. Or if you WANT to flash and know that it's so easy then go ahead I'd suggest you save the money and get the FD because they're the same.

I'm kinda a noob to flashing... but not a noob to modding (jailbroken iphones/hacked psp's rooted a galaxy s2 a while back ago)

Could I flash it without a windows pc? (I have a Mac)

It's very simple and easy. Use odin. And I'm not sure about that you'll have to Google if you can use a mac or not. But I don't think there should be a problem.

Odin only works with Windows PC's. For Mac's you will need Heimdall
