Galaxy s7 jerky scrolling

Hi, I come from the iPhone and I am really surprised at how jerky the scrolling is in chrome and really any other browser. Any fixes for this? Or is this just the way it is. I thought I wouldn't mind but something albeit trivial does detract from the phone and make me wonder about its longevity. Thanks

Re: Galaxy s7 jerky scrolling

Under the 'Developer Options' setting you can reduce several scaling factors from 1.0x to 0.5x which seemed to help me with screen scrolling. Do a Google search for "android developer option setting animation transition" for exact instructions.

Re: Galaxy s7 jerky scrolling

IOS doesn't allow free scrolling in Safari. What does that mean? It means that when you swipe up quickly on the screen the page doesn't scroll freely it moves a certain distance by itself. It's designed in a way for the browser to load stuff simultaneously. No matter how quickly you scroll in safari it scrolls in its own pace.

With chrome, it speeds up according to the speed of the swipe. So the page doesn't keep up and hence, stutters.

Having said that, Samsung's own browser "internet" is better in every way, for me at least. And does not stutter that much.

The problem is with chrome not the s7. Use samsungs internet browser its optimized to its hardware. Plus you get an ad blocker and securiy features. Chrome isnt well polished.
