galaxy s7 nougat europe

Never flashed a android device and it looks more difficult than jailbreaking an iphone thats why i'll wait for the official release...yeah i might wait a while for it...

It's not all that difficult when you have the right set of instructions.

I'm in the process of setting up a guide myself for how I did it.

Not always worth it if it's just to get an update but getting rid of carrier bloatware is a plus too.

Even though is not that hard, it's probably not that simple either. 1 **** up and your phone is bricked.

I used to do it, but since I grew older I don't need to be the first with everything new so I'll just wait for the ota aswell like 'normal people' do lol

Exactly!

Very true and it should definitely be said that there are dangers with flashing. I haven't grown out of that yet though and so was willing to try.

Helps that I get rid off all the carrier bloatware too. Don't think I would have taken the plunge if there wasn't another benefit.

Here in my country (netherlands) you hardly get carrier bloat ware and all the Samsung apps can be disabled.

Don't want to void the warranty so I can remove some apps.

Can however understand the urge to root and flash :)

Flashing with official firmware doesn't void warranty and there was no rooting involved when I did it

True that, but still I wouldn't recommend it since people still brick their devices these days.

Anyway it can be great to flash if you know your way :)

Same here in belgium, bloatware isnt as big as american costumers have

It's getting silent in Europe, haha..

I asked my carrier on twitter and they replyd first by saying "it's samsung job to deploy the update not us" then after telling them that samsung did deploy the update but carriers have to deploy it, they replyd back by saying the update will come "next quarter"

Carrier : orange
Country : belgium

Au, That's painfull!
Hard to believe that they will wait till April or so.

If you look at the forums you'll see the US got their treats already so don't understand why it will land this late in Belgium..

I think they didn't know what to respond and just said next quarter
