Hi I have the UK version of the Galaxy S7 SM-G930F on the O2 network running Android 6.0.1

Baseband:- G930FXXU1BPJG

Build :- MMB29K.G930FXXS1BPLD

I have tried to connect it to windows 10 using both Smart Switch and Kies 3 and both time my laptop doesn't seem to recognise the handset. When i plug in my Samsung USB cable the handset charges but nothing else happens. I don't even get an error message saying my handset can't be recognised.

I have updated Kies too the latest version and the USB drivers.

Any ides / solutions to my problem?

Thanks

Pull down notification bar, tap on the notification that says 'tap for other USB options', switch it from charge only to MTP.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you also tried other USB cables? Yours might be faulty (or if it's not the OEM cable, it might be a charge-only cable).

You're plugging into a native USB port on the computer, and not a hub, right?

Hi I have Windows 10, if you try uninstalling the drivers and software
Then follow this information
In the link.

How to: Disable driver signature enforcement on Windows 10

Then install software and drivers first then plug your phone in.
Another step is to disable anti virus whilst installing software after driver signing is disabled.
As win 10 can be a git .
Hope this helps as it did for me.

I had to check the USB debug under dev options to make it work.
