DAMNED! After watching that video... I'm going to have a really hard time waiting for the Galaxy Note 8. Crap... I've been waiting patiently since I turned in my "Replacement" Note 7 and picked up the S7 Active as a "Stand-in", but I've actually grown to like the BEAST! I can't even tell you how many times I've dropped it without a single scratch, chip, dent... and that 4000mAh battery life?

Do I really need Dual Cameras, an S-Pen and a phone that's WAY too tall, skinny and with only 3300mAh for >$1000.00 when I can have the S8 Active for around $850 (if what they're saying is correct)?

My thoughts exactly jimd! After watching the S8 Active intro video, I think it confirms that the phone will have a decent screen wow factor (flat edges!) and tremendous battery. The tough mil-spec rated exterior only adds to it's desirability.

What I find interesting is that the S8 Active specs on the Samsung website differ from those on the AT&T website. The AT&T website has the screen resolution at 2560 x 1440 and does not call the screen an Infinity Display.

The Samsung product website (linked below) does call the display an "Infinity Screen" and lists the resolution of the AT&T S8 Active as 2960 x 1440 (577 PPI.)

Has anyone contacted AT&T via chat yet to ask about the discrepancy?

That's just the kind of crap that ALWAYS happens to me - that's why I started just walking into my local AT&T Store (of course it's nice to have one 15 minutes from home too) and holding it in my hand there before laying out the cash! Makes me feel a whole lot more secure...

None of the others ever got to VZW. I making an assumption based on the past. I'm also a pessimist.
