Galaxy s8 battery swell

Hello all. I have a question about phone life after having battery replaced from swelling. Galaxy S8 battery swelled and broke back glass. Once the battery and glass are replaced should the phone be fine or should I just look for a replacement phone? I don't want to spend the money to have it repaired if it's worth it. Thank you

Welcome to Android Central! Assuming the battery didn't start leaking, then it should still work fine after a battery replacement. The IP water resistance rating will be nullified, of course.

How much would it cost to be repaired?
I had same happened on my s8+ but it took the back glass off without breaking , never fixed it though but just needs battery .
